  • I was headed on a very long trip across South America, so bought two of the SmartTag+ devices. Sitting in my living room, they were a piece of cake to connect. I put them in my pocket, planning to drop them in my suitcases later.Except I forgot. Then I did laundry. An hour later, I went to put my clothes from the washing machine (which was set to Heavy wash, for an hour) into the dryer. As I pulled out the soaking wet clothes, one of my SmartTags fell out of the washing machine; I had forgotten it in my pants pocket, then washed my pants. The poor little electronic device was thoroughly soaked. My heart sank from paying so much money for two of these, and now both were put through the wash, hadn\'t even made it a day.Somehow, unbelievably, they still worked. Perfectly. For the next few days I expected them to die at any moment... they never did. I\'m blown away. How can a little electronic device survive an hour in a washing machine that\'s set on Heavy soil? And not just one survived; both did! That was a month ago, and I\'ve been in South America ever since. They\'ve been great! One little note; one of them has a very low battery, and the other one has half its battery gone. But I read other reviews prior to purchasing, and know their batteries don\'t last long. I brought two spare batteries with me, ready to change when needed. It\'s an easy task for such an amazing little tracking device, well worth it!
  • Very impressed with how easy the SmartTag+ was to use. I bought 2 for a trip and put one in my luggage and one in my backpack with the feature turned on to notify you if the backpack is to far away.It was great to keep track of my luggage and see that it made it to my next layover. It does have a bit of a lag until it gets by a cellphone and update location but not to bad.
  • I\'m judging this based on the regular version performance. I bought both and the SamsungTag+ was already on another account so i can\'t use it and have to return it for a refund, but the base version is nice in my opinion. From research, the biggest difference is that this one has an AR mode to help find it, and maybe a longer distance that it can be detected. Once i get a refund i may purchase another one but overall if you don\'t care about the AR finder feature the original is cool.
  • I like that it updates its location using other people\'s Samsung devices. It\'s a network! I didn\'t like that the battery was about 70% right out of the box new.
  • I picked up a pair of these to use for tracking suitcases during travel and equipment cases that are out of my immediate control while I\'m on the job. They seem to work OK. The quick start guide could be a little better. The first one stalled during setup and just told me to keep waiting. I was afraid to mess up pairing but after a few minutes I figured something was up and stopped/restarted the process. It refistered in a couple seconds that time. Same with the other. One of them stopped connecting without warning after about 2 weeks. I was traveling so I wasn\'t sure if it was just out of range, broken, or missing. When I was able to get to it I followed the reset instructions and was able to connect again. At that point it the battery was low, but not critically low. It took me a few days to get around to getting more batteries, and in that time the battery was still showing low, but functioning, so I\'m not sure why it just stopped working like it did. It\'s a little disconcerting, though. That certainly would defeat the purpose if my bag was actually missing or stolen. When they work properly they seem to track accurately. My wife uses the apple tracker and and our luggage always seemed to register in the same places respectively. The left behind notifications worked about the same as well.Bottom line is that I don\'t trust these 100% yet but they give me more sense of security than nothing at all.
  • I have six of these I use to track my luggage. They are simple to use, simple to register, and can do some really neat Smart Home and automation things. My only complaint is that these likely sit on a shelf in a warehouse for a long time. Some of them come with batteries at 90% and others I\'ve received with batteries at 20%. I just put in a new battery and it\'s good, but I wish they kept the battery out of them until you receive them.
  • I clip one of these to my dog in case he wanders off.
  • I seem to be changing the batteries every 6-8 weeks. Accuracy seems decent enough but wish I could get better battery life.
