It really up-guns a basic navigation boat GPS. Shows underwater objects and gives a pop-up warning. Im 79 an this chip has been a game changer for me.
I would have given it a 5 but once I installed it on my Simrad Go9, the tides screen quit working. I found out through The Hull Truth forum that you have to delete the ucg folder and all files with .uk and .uc. Havent plugged it back in yet to make sure it worked but what a pain to find out when you\'re out on the water and no access to a laptop.
Quick shipping and a great price
You will not find any landmarks on this card. No Terrain, No Satellite view, scant information about lake communities, parks, nothing. When fishing lakes or Gulf shorelines, I can get more information from my iPhone Navionics App. I contacted Lowrance and Navionics about the lack of information they provide on this card. Fine for fishing, but if you motor up on an unknown boat ramp, best pull out your iPhone. Not too happy about not having any land features.
Got this for my dad for his birthday and he loves it. It gives very detailed maps and it worked with his Hook 7 (he has one of the older models). You also get free updates with it.

I had to spend a lot of time with Navionics getting this product activated. It was the sellers responsibility to do this. They did not.
If you get a lowrance, hook 5 or 7 and live in Louisiana you will need this to navigate the bayous as the factory program is vague. Simply put its like going from Nintendo 2600 to an Xbox!
