  • Install was no problem, and it works great. Replace on 2016 Ford C-Max.
  • Used this to replace a failing backup camera on a Ford Edge for a friend. I decided to spring the extra few $$$ for the Dorman brand due to reputation. According to my friend, the camera actually works better that the OEM as far as picture quality.
  • My 2015 Ford C-Max SEL came with the complete sync system (Sirius, Navigation, etc.) that displayed the white parking assist lines, back up grid (red, yellow, green) and sensor blocks (red, yellow, green). The camera started to fail intermittently only showing a blank screen and the error \"Camera unavailable. Please see dealer.\" I had the dealer diagnosis and confirm the camera was bad. Using the YouTube video on replacing a C-Max backup camera as a guide I replaced the Ford camera with this Dorman camera. NOTE: you have to be very careful with the camera bracket as it is very brittle - I broke one tab on mine but remedied it with a small zip tie. Camera shows all the lines as before (white lines, grid, sensors). Will say the camera is a little fuzzy compared to the OEM one it replaced but it does the job very well when compared to what the OEM camera costs.

  • I definately recommend this camera. If your monitor is blanking out, or the image is upside down, you need to replace the camera. There\'s a great video on YouTube that steps you through it. A couple of tips that I learned the hard way. When you remove the large plastic panel watch for any clips then get left behind on the side rails. Put them back on the plastic panel before re-installing it. Second, once you get to the camera, be very careful with the plastic clip that holds it in place. It is very fragile, I know because I broke it. I had to fabricate a replacement which I got to work. I\'m sure I could have ordered a new mounting assembly but I needed to get it done. It has been 2 weeks and the image is perfect and otherwise works exactly as it should. I\'m thrilled.
  • The pictures are before & after. AMAZING! I installed this camera in my 2013 Ford C-Max Energi. Lots of good resources on-line for getting to the camera. I couldn\'t be happier with the result. Worth every penny. BTW Ford charges over $600 to do this replacement. Overall, probably about 2 hours of time.
  • Awesome picture improvement. My old camera was circa 2012 and it looked like it was full of cateracts. This BZ is bright and clear especially at night. The only question I wonder is if a new display would help.
  • It works but the white lines showing turn direction are missing as are the color warnings. It does the beeping and has the red yellow and green indicators as well as a dashed black line. Hence the three star rating.
