- I’ve had this on my kid’s bike for a few months after I upgraded her to a more serious bike. I had an alert setup on the bike AirTag if it left the house without her phone nearby. One evening she got a message that her bike left the yard after she forgot to close the garage. We looked outside to see a younger neighbor kid she knew riding around on it. My kid called out her name and the bike was brought back unharmed by a very embarrassed kid.
- On the first bike ride I took with a brand new Airtag I hit a pretty average bump in the road and that was enough to raddle and break the Airtag. Installation was fairly easy but in practice this does not work like imagined. Now the app just shows the location of the Airtag when I hit the bump and nothing I do will make the Airtag be detected anymore.

One note, this is water resistant, not waterproof as the description claims.The provided screws are star hex screws and come in two lengths depending if you want to hide this under your water bottle.Overall, for $15.99, it’s a great addition to the security of your bike, but should be used in addition to a bike lock and bike registry.
