- Does it fit over the screen, yes. Is it cut to the shape of the screen? No. Also the glue doesn’t hold. Attached the protector and the first one peeled off as I removed the outside strip it removed the whole protector. When I attached the second one it had debris on it that put bubbles under the screen. Finally, it’s not gloss. It’s some type of muted material that diminishes the screen clarity. Like looking through a pair of first sunglasses. Both junk for 20 bucks.
- Installed on New Garmin Inreach Explorer+.Product is as described. 4 stars , because the screen protector is the correct shape, however leaves approx 1/16\" shy on all sides to completely cover the screen surface. I understand the manf, probably was only concerned with the active/visible screen area, but it sure would be easier to make the product an exact fit to the entire surface.-Mike
- This works well, but is not the easiest technology to understand. It took me some time but I was able to send text and make a Twitter post from it. Pairing it with my phone helped a lot. The plans you need top sign up for are confusing and I\'m still not sure what I can and can\'t do on my plan.
- I\'m a bit conflicted on this one. In achieving the \"no-glare\" effect, this screen protector significantly blurs the screen image and its graphics. With a conventional screen protector on a Garmin GPS for comparison, I personally prefer the sharper screen and a little bit of occasional repositioning to eliminate the glare, rather than a perpetually softened image that makes me squint and reach for reading glasses or a magnifying glass. Another buyer\'s preferences may be different -- but it\'s good to know ahead of time that you may feel like you want to turn on the defogger.
- The Garmin inReach is awesome! We used it the whole time we were on our three week backpacking trip. We used it to keep in touch with resupplying and non emergency situations. We needed some one to come and pick up our dog, hike was too much for paws, and we were able to send her home and continue on our hike. Family and friends were able to track us on line. Luckily we did not need it for an emergency. Money well spent!
- Easy installation and the anti glare works great.
- Easily applied. Fit is good and entirely covers all of \'viewable\' screen.Earlier review from The Professor seems correct in that cutting down the glare has a price to pay in terms of viewing screen sharpness but this is similar in degree to other anti-glare screen protectors I have used.
- Still getting used to this device, had it for five or six outings so far. I really like having the GPS and text messaging capabilities built into the emergency beacon - makes me feel better about carrying it knowing I\'m actually able to use it on non-emergencies as well.
