- I installed this in a 2014 S550. Everything was plug and play despite no directions besides for a short print out with some basic troubleshooting steps.Few things to note:-You will have to remove and relocate the switch panel between this and the gauge cluster. It comes with an extension cable. I ran it to my glove box. Ot a huge deal since I never used it much (ride height, gauge cluster dim, parking sensors on/off)-Wireless CarPlay works flawlessly the unit boots up and about 30 seconds later CarPlay starts and connects on its own-Rearview camera did not work out of the box. I had to dive into the menses and change it to use the built in camera-The wireless microphone cable that comes with it is about 3 feet limiting where you can mount it and people tell me I sound “far away) you may want to order a higher quality microphone with a longer cable-Sound quality is great but I feel it’s not as good as before using the headphone aux input, maybe that issue is in my head who knows but I swear the quality is slightly reducedIf you buy this get some plastic panel removers. You do now want to be using a screw driver to pop your trim off. The trim in Mercedes is extremely tight.
- I just found out I don\'t have that auxillary wiring behind my glove box, what should I do? I need help connecting a fm transmitter to this unit or I need help about installing auxillary to my car so that I can have sound. I am starting to feel disappointed about purchasing this radio, not feeling confident about this purchase.
- The media could not be loaded. Ordered for 2012 S550. Shipping was quick. Customer service is fine. Product worked 95% no issues. My only problem is the suspension buttons. There\'s a pop up on the screen but didn\'t allow any functionality. Factory harness is 3 wires. The unit only had 1. I\'m guessing this is the issue.Side note, you don\'t need to install the mic, speaker and gps antenna. If you\'re using Android auto the factory equipment is fine. If you hotspot you can skip the 4g antenna too.
- Installed the unit with no issues. It’s a excellent modern upgrade to the S Class. The seller was very responsive and helpful during the install. Purchased a similar product from a different vendor with issues although there support was just as good they didn’t resolve the issues. MekedeTech product is of better quality.
- This radio do a constant drain on your battery no matter how u hook it up or change wires u will always find your battery dead within A couple of days. Which is annoying they don\'t come with directions so even u get it professionally hooked up or must know about car systems to do it. It is not a easy do it yourself plug in play like they make it seem. ONCE AGAIN IF U JUST PLUG IT IN THINKING ITS A SIMPLE PLUG IN PLAY SWAP YOUR BATTERY WILL DIE. IF YOU DO IT YOURSELF I RECOMMEND USING A KILL SWITCH FOR THE RADIO OR ELSE U WILL WAKE UP EVERY THREE DAYS TO A DEAD BATTERY

- the unit had a broken connector when it was delivered. this connection problem prevented the unit from functioning as advertised. i was lucky that my local installation shop was able to make the connection work despite the defect from the factory. but its likely not a permanent fix. most installers would have just put it back in the box and said \"good luck\" , but i was lucky. definite quality issues, be careful.
- Really nice finished look. retains all the factory function plus android. Install was easy. All plug and play. Hardest part was deciding where to mount and runing the cables for the mic, gps receiver, and antenna.
