- I have a classic pickup we use for vacations. It has been broken into before and I am concerned about theft from hotels when travelling. I purchased this item for satellite tracking in case theft occurs.I am very pleased with the performance. I have placed it in the cab, under the front bumper, under the rear bumper, and under an aluminum tonneau cover. It has tracked the truck no matter the location on the vehicle, even though some are better than others.I have set a notification so that if the truck is stopped at all I get a notification both on my phone and by email when the truck moves and exceed 5 MPH. This way when we are stopped for the night and park the truck if the truck moves I get notified. With the battery even if the truck is towed and the ignition is not turned on I still get the notification.There are so many more capabilities of this device that it is overkill for my purpose, but I think it is a good value and cost effective for my purpose.

Tracker is placed inside of bumper and hasn\'t moved. The unit IN the case is the size of a hand, impressive padding to keep tracker protected. The unit itself fits in your palm. Battery life seems okay, been in use for a week and no notifications of low battery. Would purchase again. Ad stated as low as $17.99 a month. However That\'s if you purchase whole 12 months. The monthly subscription for 60 second update is $29.99. I think price is a little ridiculous but when safety is the prime factor is there such thing as \"too expensive?\". The best part is my child thinks I\'m less invasive about privacy now without asking all the time \"who you going with, where are you going, when are you going to be home\" because I can just see for myself (I\'m a cool parent now until I get caught that the tracker has been on the vehicle).

It came with a magnetic foam lined case that you definitely can rest assured will stay where you put it. Once the unit had established a connection I stuck it to the bottom of the vehicle and it worked perfectly. I put it there early on a Friday afternoon and it is still working Sunday afternoon with over a 90% charge. The subscription fee runs from around twenty to thirty dollars a month depending upon how quickly you want your reports to update. Of course I wish it didn’t have one but in my case it’s worth every penny. Save your self some time searching around and if in need of a tracking device, get this one, you’ll be more than satisfied.
