  • Like the activity tracker. Dislike the short battery life usage.
  • Love the watch. The only thing I don\'t like is that the band is not replaceable. If you break it, you need a new watch.
  • The screen gets scratched very easily. I would advise to purchase a screen protector. I\'m 178 lbs, my wrist is on the last three holes of the wrist band. If your wrist is bigger than mine, this wristband will be too small. The sole purpose of this watch was for heart monitor and sleep pulse oximeter. The battery last three days. If I turn off pulse oximeter, then it should last much longer. I am not sure how accurate the step counter is, this morning it said I walked 400 steps, all I did was walk to the bathroom three times. My coworkers watch said 3,500 steps and mine were 7,500, we had worked together the whole day. I dont really count steps. I prefer to turn on gps and track my mileage and use a separate app to compare. With the GPS turned on it is accurate, if you activate the walking activity tracker. In the shower the buttons are useless if its wet, not sure how swimmer\'s could use this to select options. Overall, my purchase was refurbished and a 40% discount. It was brand new, looks like it wasn\'t touched. I am satisfied with the purchase, because it serves my original purchase requirements.
  • I have been a Garmin user for years now, primarily relying on the ForeRunner series of running watches. I wanted a device that had advanced sleep tracking and pulse ox monitoring as well, and for the price, the VivoSmart option seemed like the best way to go, since I didn\'t want a new running watch. Overall, the new and enhanced features are great, and the accuracy of pulse monitoring, etc. seems comparable to my ForeRunner. Sleep tracking is where the two seem to diverge. My general sleep trend with the ForeRunner\'s tracking was usually a 60/40 or 70/30 split in favor of deep vs light sleep, and pulse monitoring showed a consistent pulse measure throughout the night. The VivoSmart skews widely the other way, with far more micro swings in heart rate measure, and far more \'light\' sleep than deep or even REM sleep. So - just be prepared to have a completely different picture of your sleep with a device like this vs. a device without \'advanced\' sleep tracking if you\'re considering using one of these. Being able to compare 2 devices side by side will give you a more average picture of your sleep.
  • This watch has a good idea, but you have to read it on a narrow screen, which makes it difficult to read. It does match up to the app pretty well. The only thing that I absolutely despise about this watch is the band. The whole watch is small, but the watch band is extremely short and makes it almost impossible to catch a notch on the band. It is very narrow and extremely short around the wrist. I despise the watch band on this watch! Make it about half of an inch longer and that would help some. All in all, unless you like dainty things and have a small circumference wrists, I do not recommend this watch. Had I been able to see this watch, before I bought it, I would not have bought it. A real pain in the ear to wear. Don\'t like it!!!!
  • I\'ve had my Garmin Vivosmart 4 for about 2 weeks now, and it\'s been great overall. I had been increasing my activity levels, but it\'s helped me track things, and I can connect the app to Strava to get heart rate and step cadence info on my walks and runs. The one negative is that I don\'t know how much I can trust the sleep data. Sometimes it seems reasonable, and other times I know it\'s not accurate because I know I was awake when it says I was supposedly asleep. For example: just the other night, I didn\'t sleep well. I only slept about 3.5 hours, but the app says 7.5. I mean, I might\'ve been in bed that amount of time, but I wasn\'t asleep
  • I got burned by nearly $200 Fitbit Ionic that had great features, but died after just over a year. Replaced it with this tracker in October 2020 for $69 (renewed)! The screen is small of course, but it has all the needed feature and captures all the data that the app tracks. Almost deducted half a star, but small screen really isn\'t much sacrifice for the value.Variety of exercises is plenty. No GPS, no music; but I can easily bring my phone with me for that. Love the detail of the sleep tracker (light, deep, REM, and awake time). Garmin features have come a long way rivaling Fitbit, and has always been all waterproof to 50 meters. And something I won\'t live without anymore - phone finder on Garmin watches is better than a Tile! Had a Garmin VivoActive HR a while back that lasted 3+ years. Counting on this VivoSmart 4 to last as long.
