Arkon GPS Car Mount for Garmin nuvi 40 50 200 2013 24x5 25x5 Series 15 inch Flexible Steel Seat Rail or Floor Mount
- Suction mounts not only fall off your windshield, the electronics they hold get baked in direct sunlight. This Mount easily attaches to a bolt on the bottom seat rail of the passenger front seat. Installed in minutes.Length and stiffness of the gooseneck is perfect. After you adjust your device, it stays put.
- I really like this mount that I use for the Garmin RV 780. I use it in my large SUV, and it saves space. The cup holder can also be used for the intended purpose.Here\'s a couple tips for buyers:1. When mounting, be sure the screws that attach the floor bracket to the neck face out so they can be retightened.2. Once the mount is installed, be careful moving the seat forward. You may damage the floor bracket.
- This GPS mount is amazing. It is the only viable \"permanent\" GPS mount option I found and it delivers that at a great price. With the multiple mounting options there is no reason you can\'t find a suitable mounting location for it. I opted to mount it to the front left passenger seat bolt. I have a 1996 Honda Accord and even with the angled mounting position of the front seats, this bracket fit well and positioned perfectly. Took me about 5 minutes to install and adjust. Make sure the \"bolt\" (the gooseneck appears to be threaded) going into the bracket is tight or it will flop around when you try to adjust the gooseneck. Use a 11/16\" wrench to tighten that. I did this after the bracket was bolted to the seat so it had some resistance. The other nice thing about this mount is the ball mount. I popped the stock Garmin bracket out of the suction cup mount which has the same 17mm ball. Then you simply snap the Garmin bracket into the ball mount and adjust to your desired location. The Arkon ball has a wing nut that allows you to adjust the direction of the ball so you don\'t have to rely 100% on the adjustability of the ball mount itself.I\'d definitely buy another one of these mounts and will keep it on my list of recommendations. Suction cup mounts only last so long and I was not interested in using an adhesive to make it more permanent. I wanted a professional look and this Arkon GPS mount gave me just that at a great price with a low profile and easy installation.
- At last a good mount that actually works. I’ve tried several suction cup and vent clip mounts but they only work for a few days to a few weeks. This unit I have mounted to the passenger side of center console on my Ford F 150. It’s sturdy, stays put and I’m overall satisfied with it!
- I bought this for my Fiat 500x, and by using the triangular mounting base I was able to finally able to securely install my GPS. The gooseneck seems to be solid and heavily built, with a ridged plastic sheath. The triangular mount and seat-base mount are metal and heavily built. It also comes with a plastic mounting adapter, but I am unsure of what that is used for. It took me about 15 minutes to install, including layout time and final adjustment and power cord routing. I uploaded some pics of the mount installed.
- The flexible part is stiff enough to keep the GPS still, but the hardware and the ball itself leave a bit to be desired. The screws and wingnuts look and feel like Chinese steel. I tapped out the screw holes on the bottom bracket to a larger size and replaced the screws with something more substantial. I also replaced the wingnut at the top end. The ball seems to be a hair smaller than an original Garmin mount because, even though I\'ve been using this for a week, I\'m already seeing movement when going over bumps that didn\'t affect the original mount.
- Great mount for Garmin. Bolted to the passenger seat rails. Hasn\'t moved since installation. I use a ram x mount for my phone and this for my Garmin. Makes off road trips easy.
- Tired of your GPS system falling or sliding all the time, despite the manufacturer\'s claims ? THIS item attaches to the seat mount, inconspicuously, and the adjustable \'goose neck\' enables the driver to position the display (GPS) EXACTLY where he/she wants it, even when just a slight adjustment is necessary because of sun glare. LOVE IT !!!!!
