KOM Cycling Wahoo Elemnt Roam & Elemnt Bolt Out Front Handlebar Mount from Bike Mount Designed for Wahoo Elemnt, Roam & Elemnt Bolt, & Elemnt Mini (Wahoo Element)
- Easy to set up, lightweight, and sturdy.
- I had previously bought a KOM cycing mount exactly like this without the camera attachment and loved it. Previous to buying this mount I tried one with the camera mount that did not fit the Cycliq fly 12 as advertised. This mount does fit but it\'s very difficult to make fit. I could only get it on part way. My husband had to take a file and shave down inside the camera joints to make it fit in the mount piece.I think these mounts are sturdy and a great price. I have not used the bike with the camera all set up on the mount yet. If it does not perform well, I will come back and add to this review.
- Excellent mount for Wahoo cycling computers. Quality materials and construction. Easily mounts to handlebars.
- I was a little bit skeptical at this at first because I saw in the review that it won\'t fit. When I first installed it, I thought it wouldn\'t fit too. You just have to make sure that the you are using the right rubber insert and it is properly latched. It may take some effort to put the screw. You have to push or pinch it hard and put the screw. I installed it on my Trek Domane AL2.
- The manufacturer can do better and should, then they should charge more for a better product. I think the market would bear it.Not as nice as the piece Wahoo ships with the ELEMNT. Not completely terrible either but there were some obvious decisions made by a cost cutting engineer to make this price point. This mount was likely engineered with application versatility as the most important design criteria followed by keeping costs down which is why the first point was to generalize the design so it could be adapted with the addition of more pieces. More pieces adds cost but clearly the cost of those pieces is still less than making the mold tooling for the mount in three sizes. The blue insert appears to be interchangeable to accommodate multiple computer mounts. The mount bracket has no 31.8mm native clamping diameter, rather the mount ships with three additional pieces to adapt down to about the size of a handlebar. That means the clamp never quite grabs the bar the right way and the screw (threadlocker, nice touch) doesn\'t engage the threaded metal insert (again nice touch) all the way for a 31.8mm bar.Could the engineer have done the tooling to allow it to be molded as one of 3 diameters, maybe but that would have made the mold tooling more complex and made the core mount specific to a bar diameter. That design would require multiple molding runs which means more inventory of parts and that is all more cost that somebody didn\'t want in this product. Can it work, yeah I guess but I don\'t really care for the bodge rubber insert design. I don\'t want to worry about the mounting of my $300+ computer which is my navigation and data logger.
- I have used both of the KOM wahoo mounts. Both are great, but I needed the one pictured to more easily charge my wahoo Element Bolt while on the bike during an extended ride. This one sits 10mm closer to the handle bar than the other version, but this one is positioned slightly above the bar, which allows for easy attachment of a USB cable. Perfect.
- Only used it one time, and I can tell that I\'m really going to like it. I love the fact that it is mounted on the right side of the stem. This gives you an option vs. the OEM mount from Wahoo, which mounts to the left of the stem. The mount seems very secure with the single screw. The quarter turn to lock the computer into place is nice as well. I think the Wahoo mount is just an eighth turn. The first time removing the Bolt from the mount was a little disconcerting, as it seemed like it wouldn\'t turn back out out of the mount, but a couple of times rotating in and out of the lock position and it seems fine now.
- It seems well-built and holds my Wahoo ELEMNT perfectly. I bought this with the ELEMNT because I thought it didn’t include a mount but I’m glad I did because it seems to be a better mount than the included one
