Izzo Swami 6000 Handheld Golf GPS Water-Resistant Color Display with 38,000 Course Maps & Scorekeeper
- I have been playing golf for many years and have just now used a GPS. After looking at different brands of devices, I decided to purchase the Swami 6000. I took it to the golf course, and it worked as expected. It is easy to use, and the accuracy is good. The battery life is long, which is good when playing an 18-hole course. The magnetic belt click fits perfectly. The other brands\' technology seems more current than this device, but you pay twice as much. If you\'re looking for something simple to use, this is it.
- It charges quickly and the GPS works quickly
- The display, information and accuracy are very good. The magnet works well to attach to the cart. It has never fallen off. The shot distance function works very well.Dislikes- the buttons are difficult to push. Somewhat recessed and I find I often have to use a fingernail. The scoring function is very difficult to use. If you leave the green before scoring it auto moves to the next hole and you can’t get back to score the previous until after you move off the next tee. Once you do get to the scoring screen it is at 0. Many units start at par and you only need to go up or down a little.
- Bought 7/2022. Now it is 3.2023. I have used for over 10 rounds and maybe more. A few issues since initial use1-takes longer than one would expect when at the course to locate at course through its connection2-it takes bourse to charge and3-never charges to 100% as it shouldI am disappointed that it no longer working as it is intended to or as promised and why I purchased itSeven months of use this product should not be an issue
- It really is so cool. It works great, has a nice bright screen. Resolution really is terrible for 2022 standards, but I read the specs and expected that. Magnet is strong for cart usage. Also has a belt clip that just attaches to the magnet. Seems to be accurate (but I tend to find every GPS gizmo my buddies have are all pretty accurate out on the course). However...the 6000 was clearly designed/manufactured years ago now and I\'m kind of annoyed with 2 things. OK, I\'m really annoyed. 1. Micro USB connector instead of USB-C. I just recently got rid off all things non-USB-C in my life and here is the Izzo Swami 6000 to ruin it all! 2. You can\'t charge it and use it at the same time!!!! When you connect the charger it overrides all functionality and you\'re stuck on a black screen with a battery meter on it.I promise to love this little device for this golf season and give our relationship an honest effort. But I do predict these 2 things are going to eat away at that love.
- Not as easy to use and I thought it would be. Lots of times my product won\'t pick up the course I am playing. Difficult to navigate at times. High price point for mediocre product.
- No total hole picture, just distances. Traps and water on another page. Good for the money, but I like the display like the old Garmin G6.
