- This unit fits the 2002 - 2008 Audi A4 models. It will not matter if you have Bose or the Audi Symphony factory radio you are replacing. This unit comes with everything you need to do the connection correctly and it has plug and play adapters for your factory harnesses. (READ BELOW FOR MORE ON INSTALLATION) Great radio with a smooth responsive touch screen. It uses Android for it\'s operating system so you can load apps on it too. The Apple car play works great. Connect is easy to the phone. Tons of options, so take your time to learn it screen by screen to see what you want to use. Sound quality is very good with adjustability to your preferences.INSTALLATION: Take the time to go over the included parts list. A picture is in the listing of what is included to help. This is a run down of the parts included by pictured part and number.#1 - EXTERNAL MICROPHONE ( Helps with road noise and can be placed by instrument cluster or visor )#2 - GPS ANTENNA ( Used for the internal maps system navigation. Use with #8 for mounting )#3 - WiFi ANTENNA ( This unit can make its own WiFi signal for phone pairing NOT data )#4 - DISASSEMBLY TOOL ( Helpful with removing trim pieces when routing wiring like the microphone )#5 - CANBUS ( This plugs into #10 and may already come plugged into either harness. This allows you to use factory steering wheel controls with this radio like the factory radio does )#6 - RADIO ANTENNA ADAPTER ( This may be needed to plug the cars antenna into this new unit )#7 - 15AMP FUSE ( extra fuse in case you need it )#8 - 3M STICKER ( Used to mount the GPS antenna )#9 - DISASSEMBLY KEYS ( 4 tool keys used to remove the factory radio to install this upgraded unit. The curved side faces in when inserting them into the 4 slit openings on the factory radio. Insert until a click is heard, then use them to pull the factory unit out of the dash. Sometimes the keys do not unlock the factory radio so it can be pulled out easy so take your time as you might have one or two not want to release. If this happens, pull that tool key out and reinsert till it releases the lock. It may help to pull from the tape deck opening with a couple fingers instead of pulling from the tool keys as they tend to pop out if pulled too much )#10 - POWER CABLES ( These are the harness adaptors to take the cars harness to the new radio. There are 2. You only need 1. You need to select the one that fits into your factory harness that was plugged into your old radio. Remember to have CANBUS plugged into the harness adaptor you are using out of the 2. This harness NEEDS to have all of it RCA cables plugged into the back of this new unit for sound to be sent to the speakers. Read on the back of the upgraded unit for proper plug placement to have the sound sent to the correct speakers. Take your time with this part to insure the unit plays sound out correctly. You do not need any other plug in boosters, you just need to connect this correctly. )#11- RADIO ANTENNA ADAPTER CABLE ( You may not need this. This adapts a 2 pin plug style antenna to this radio )#12, #13, + #14 - USB ADAPTER CABLES ( These plug into the back of this upgraded unit to give you options of having a USB connected device plugged into the new unit. Works for Android phone to connect via cable. Can be used as a USB plug in charging source. However keep in mind this will not be a fast charging type USB plug in. )A manual is stored in the new radio for on the go helpful learning.A good suggestion is not to fully push the new unit back into place until you have all your connections done and it is tested to be working properly.Take your time with the install so you can enjoy this new unit and all the feature that will really take your B6 B7 AUDI A4 to the next level all for a great price.Thanks AMASEAUDIO !
- Installed in my 2007 Audi A4 (B7) with Bose rear amplified speakers w/ subwoofer. Overall, I\'m blown away at how feature rich this head unit is and how much better it looks than a standard aftermarket double-din radio. This fit is WAY better, and looks WAY better than any standard double-din setup I\'ve seen. All this for a lower cost than other radios and it comes with everything! *(except line-level to RCA converters if you have factory amplifier)Likes:1) Fit is perfect. Includes the tool to remove the factory radio, same tool is used to install/remove this radio.2) Includes Can-bus receiver so this radio receives the steering wheel controls, reverse camera sense, etc!3) Includes antenna adapter, though you may want to get a powered adapter if you are having reception issues.4) Startup/shutdown is insanely fast, about 3 seconds. It\'s basically like a sleep state which is awesome because if you are using google maps and you pull over at a gas station and turn off the car, the radio boots back up to where you left off. However the first time you startup, or if you disconnect the battery from the car, the boot up is about 20 seconds.5) The LED light color and button styles match the factory dash. Everyone else who sees if always assumes this is a factory radio. They turn on automatically when the dash lights turn on via can-bus signal.6) Basically this is like a tablet for the car. I can install any Android app I want such as Pandora, SiriusXM, etc..7) EQ, fader, and other audio tuning works very well. *(once the RCA converter was installed)8) I purchased a cheap ODBII Bluetooth sensor adapter and the Torque app works pretty well at reading check-engine codes, real-time data like boost/RPM/Speed, and emission readiness. Resolution is slow but still a neat feature.9) If you are listening to the radio or Pandora, the Google maps GPS voice-over works. The mini-GPS map show an always-on-top overlay if you are using directions just like on the cell phone.Dislikes:1) There is an Android limitation (nothing to do with this specific radio) that doesn\'t allow you to connect to another Android devices to stream audio like you would a Bluetooth speaker. Instead you need to enable your phones hot-spot WiFi so that this radio can get internet access to play Pandora/SiriusXM/Google maps. Ultimately this is better anyway, just need to remember to turn on the hotspot on cell phone when I want to use those apps in the car.2) The included antenna adapter works well, but is not powered so in weaker radio signal areas it\'s a little fuzzy. You can pickup a powered one by Scosche if you live in the country.3) I needed to install a line level adapter into the harness to boost the rear RCA voltage because the factory Audi amp requires a higher voltage than standard aftermarket radios produce.IMPORTANT. This Audi A4 comes in three flavors of factory radios and this will impact your install. (1) No factory amplifier, (2) partial amplification (only rear/sub-woofer), and (3) full amplification (all speakers amplified). If you have amplified speakers this radio is not plug-and-play. If you install without the line level RCA converter you will not have audio from the amplified speakers because the levels are too low. See the fix below.FIX1) No factory amplifier. This radio will be plug-and-play. No fix required.2) Partial (rear/sub) amplification. Front speaker wiring remains unchanged, rear speakers/sub will require a line out level to RCA converter. Custom wiring to the included wire-harness required.3) Full amplification. Front AND rear/subs will require a line out level to RCA converter. Custom wiring to the included wire-harness required. You will need to purchase two converters (for front and rear) because each adapter is only 2 channels.I installed the following line out level to RCA converter purchased on Amazon for $9. (PAC SNI-35) item number/ASIN B001EAWS3W. With this, the audio is now perfect. I set the adapter level at max and the fader centers perfectly.
- Doesn’t have apple CarPlay or android auto like originally thought. Was entirely plug and play, steering wheel controls fully functional. Does require hot spot for internet.
