  • Loving the product. It\'s literally a tablet in my car.No internet access, needs wifi off phone or house to update.Very easy to install.Amazing rear view camera quality.Steering wheel adapter not included.GPS runs off Google maps.
  • This product made my 2012 Corolla look like a whole new car. The apple CarPlay works most of the time, however, it does have moments when it doesn’t. When I doesn’t work, I just restart the unit and it’s fixed. I love the clarity of the reverse camera. I don’t like that the logo cannot be changed to the Toyota logo in settings. The sound quality is decent tho.
  • The reverse camera and Bluetooth work great
  • The fit, style and some of the features are a good upgrade from OEM. Bluetooth and the android auto are nice to have. The down side if you have a 2011 corolla with window antenna and non JBL system. The harness included is incomplete for the antenna, steering wheel controls as well as the OEM, AUX and USB ports. Separate harness was needed to not splice into factory wires and connections. Even after a separate harness, unable to even get AM signal, the unit wont even give you an option to select when pressing BAND. Not sure it is a part of this unit at all. FM works properly and unless I am wrong should use the same antenna. Not that most of the young care about that. Steering wheel controls only the volume buttons work properly when trying to program in steering settings. Similarly the stock GPS in this unit is inoperable as well. Only way to use apps integrated in the unit is by creating a hotspot on your phone for internet. At that point use the Android auto. Some good plus but quite a bit of minus.Update : Already having problems with the Tlink system. Trying multiple resets, going through all of the settings to no avail. The whole purpose of the thing is for the wife to have maps up on the dash so she doesn\'t have to stare at the phone. Now that is having problems. So review - had to buy a separate wiring harness to have the steering functions work and the antenna. Only volume works. Cannot link any other OEM steering wheel functions to it. The stereo also does not have AM capabilities. So at this point it is basically worse than the 2011 original stereo. Although you get a screen that you have to screw around with more while driving. Sad to waste 300 dollars. Gonna see what can be done to retrieve.
  • The media could not be loaded.  unbelievably good
  • Love it!!
  • Agradable
  • For starters, this is a fairly stock TS18 head-unit, with a custom plastic bracket and harness for installation in a Toyota. I didn\'t use those, it ended up in a Kia, sans the bracket. After using it for a month or so, it\'s not bad.The 8-core CPU makes Android fairly snappy and responsive, even with only 2GB RAM in this model. The 32GB storage is adequate for any reasonable number of apps you might want on a car head-unit. You could also put some music or videos on there, but the unit does have external USB connectors that are better for that. The touch-screen is of pretty good resolution, plenty adequate for operating music players and navigation. It\'s bright enough, a bit of a challenge to read in full sun, but otherwise OK.There is a column of little buttons along the left side, fixed controls for power/mute, volume, home and back. These are touch sensitive and have their own (color-configurable) LED backlights, which can be set to either be always on with the ignition or only with the headlights, if you\'ve wired for it.Wireless Android Auto is mediocre, the connection is unstable and drops often. The USB wired version works better, but I don\'t really care for it anyway. I did not try CarPlay, I don\'t like fruit. The unit does work well paired to the phone via Bluetooth, and things work as expected. If you\'re playing audio (local or streaming) and a call comes in, the headunit will mute the audio and ring, and you can take the call hands-free, using the car\'s speakers and a little clip mic that comes with the unit, you can place it where you like. That mic also works for Google Assistant, if you want to give voice commands. Bluetooth latency is noticeable but not bad, it\'s very usable having a phone conversation.Navigation on the unit works well, with Google Maps. Voice directions work as expected, partially muting the media audio to make them more clear. OSMAND also works, if you prefer a more offline mapping solution.Since this model doesn\'t come with 4G cellular, you have to wifi-tether it to your phone to use the onboard data functions such as streaming or navigation. You could probably use a USB cellular dongle, but I didn\'t try this.It has programmable steering-wheel control, so you can integrate it with nearly any semi-standard SWC system. The unit can learn the voltage levels used, and assign them to many different functions -- this means if you have a button you don\'t use for its intended purpose, you can assign it to something more useful. Pretty handy.There\'s a fairly large and readable instruction manual, which is mostly accurate and even has pin-outs of all the connectors in it.I\'ve noticed a couple little glitches. Sometimes the media audio doesn\'t work and the unit needs a reboot. Sometimes RDS works, sometimes not. If you ever factory-reset it, the LEDs for the buttons might stop working, and you might need to reinstall the \'Color\' APK to get it going again.There\'s a pretty big community involved in hacking and modding the TS10 and TS18, so if you\'re looking for something that can run most Android apps and even run an alternate home-screen launcher if you like, and don\'t mind a few glitches, go for it. The passwords and access codes for dev mode, ADB, etc. are well known and discussed on forums. If you want ADB on this model, install a terminal emulator and issue \'setprop persist.usb.otg 1\' It doesn\'t persist, so you have to redo it after a reboot, but it DOES persist going into a reboot, so you can access fastboot as well.Would I buy this, at this price, to install it in a car it\'s not meant for? No. I\'d buy a generic TS18 with more RAM and flash, and do the work myself to make it fit and work. But there\'s a lot of value in this unit coming with the proper brackets and wiring harnesses to make it plug-and-play.
