- Just purchased a 2011 WRX and wanted carplay, This was one of the cheaper options then the Idoing unit everyone runs and with the coupon I only paid 125.First off This was one of the easiest things I\'ve ever installed in my life, Some of the other reviews said the connector was wrong, but the pin inside the radio harness that was supplied with the unit looked bent a little so I straightened with some needle nose and it slid in. The lock for the tab goes inside which was a little strange & not how you think it would go.After install I couldn\'t get the radio to work, it since has started to work but the reception is spotty at best. I will say the output of this radio far exceeds the output of the factory unit my speakers seam louder then before.Next you have to connect to Bluetooth via the app not how most android units do it through settings which i found odd. Once connected the wireless Carplay with Zlink worked PEREFECT! one thing I didnt like is you cant move that app to the main screen or even move it to the 1st page of the apps. again annoying but I can live with it.The screen So far is nice , I have not found any dead spots & flicks and presses work 1st try. Its nice and bright with a good quality picture. Steering wheel controls are easily set up from a sub menu.If you are only using this for Apple carplay and dont mind clicking a couple couple buttons to get it going an waiting the 20-30 seconds to wireless connect, Pull the trigger you\'ll like it. If you listen to the radio alot or want everything to work perfect out the box with no issues maybe and dont want to mess around with anything spend more money and go with something else.
- Reverse camera doesn’t have the guidance line but everything else is working good for now…and for the price it is a good buy
- The customer service on this one reached out to me. And wanted to make things right. I never started the conversation with them. In the end they did a GREAT job. They made it right. Wish more companies were like this. Now days your lucky to get ahold of anyone. And the stereo work great. Better then any 500 dollar stereo
- This product is pretty great. Very simple install, only downside and not worth deducting a star is the microphone quality. Other than that small detail it was a straight forward install and anyone with minor electrical/mechanical ability can do this. The sound quality and video quality is great. Pretty great having wireless Apple CarPlay too.
- The documentation wasn\'t much help with installation, but I was able to figure it out on my own. However, the user interface is poorly thought through. Getting to the ZLink app, which has to be activated manually to used CarLink every time the device is turned on, requires digging through menus and multiple screens. Even after doing that, it often will not actually connect.For me, that was a deal breaker. I bought this device specifically to use CarPlay, and since it\'s not working now need to uninstall and remove the device, and likely wasted 6 hours installing, troubleshooting, and contacting the customer service to try to resolve the issues.
- Sent it back looked too complicated to install and the user interface did not look like it would have been easy to use in a car.Update 11/21/2022. Seller offered me $20 to give them a 5 star review. Nope. That\'s not honest. I never used it just read the manual. So I don\'t know how well it works. Just know it was going to be too difficult for an average person to install.
- Was surprised that wireless android auto works so seamlessly. It is very responsive and the feature set and audio quality is WOW! The reason I didn\'t want to give 5 stars, was because in my RHD wrx sti the headunit is angled away from me making the screen hard to view at night. Had it not been for that I would say best bang for buck with all modern features an DSP level audio quality through my OEM speakers. Sounds amazing.
