- Love this durable, unobtrusive hard to see mount for the air tag. Most thieves would not realize that there is a tracker on this bike...even if they do... without the special torx driver provided with the unit...they would not be able to easily remove it. That is my only \'complaint\' with this unit. The need to have the special torx driver is both a plus and a minus. The plus is the obvious way too much work trying to remove the tag to make it worthwhile stealing. The downside is swapping the bottle holder for a lock holder always requires that special torx driver. In our low crime part of the world I\'d use a standard non-keyed bolt to make the interchange of bottle holder and lock holder (ASUS) easier. Would have been nice if Supmega supplied a pair of longer standard torx or allen bolts to accommodate the greater length needed for the air tag holder.
- I\'ve had this on my mountain bike - through dirt, mud, sand, and water - for a bit of time now and haven\'t had any issues with it. It was simple to install and doesn\'t seem to reduce any functionality of the AirTag.
- Seems very sturdy,made of high quality aluminum. Should be extremely hard for a thief to just break off and run away with your stuff.
- Bought this to securely mount/hide an Apple AirTag to a Super73 electric bike, and this works great! It’s was easy to easy to install, and feels secure when mounted. The metal base seems heavy duty, it’s nice and thick. Not sure if the o-ring under the lid was pre-lubed, but I rubbed some waterproof grease on it just to be safe (which also keep it in place during install). I love the included security screws, and the fact it comes with two length options is awesome. Would’ve been nice if they already had (blue) thread lock on the screws, but they didn’t, so I added my own. And the foam around the AirTag could’ve been thicker, so it would fit a bit snugger. Other than that, I’m very pleased with my purchase so far. Will keep you updated!
- This is a high quality mount, but it’s pretty heavy at 2.15 oz or 61 grams. Definitely not for anybody that’s trying to reduce the weight of their bike.
- Easy to install. Special hardware included for mounting
- I used this to hide an air tag on my road bike. It comes with two sets of different length screws so you don\'t need to get longer screws. Insert your air tag into the compartment, put in the o-ring, then put the top on it. Remove a water bottle cage from your bike and put this under the cage. Screw it on with the included screws and you are all done. My bike now lets me know where it is any time I want to check.Pros: completely hides the air tag, and it\'s hard to even notice it\'s there.Cons: O-ring is a little hard to install to keep the container water tight, back is flat which doesn\'t exactly match most bike frames.
- Pay attention to dimensions. It is bulkier than I expected, but that is due to size of AirTag and I’m sure the waterproof design. When installing, it was difficult to keep the gasket in place. The AirTag has a little hard time getting signal out, most likely to the Aluminum design.
