Garmin RV 780 GPS Navigator with Traffic
- I wish it turned on by itself when I start the car, and shut itself off when I turn off the ignition
- It\'s a Garmin. What else do you need? Big plus is the routing for bigger rigs. Additionally, it worked with my back up camera. No need to run wires. Indispensable piece of equipment.
- It can be difficult to search for an address or location (cities) as it wants to load default values in fields. Some installed features are good, some are completely useless and has no way to delete what you don\'t want
- Log in rv length and height. Redirects you around short tunnels or rods unable to accommodate rv size. Warns you of speed changes, school zones. Learned may not find restaurants if rv is too large to park. We query on our phones znd go over to decide if there is parking close enough to walk. Like the find gas, rest stops, food up ahead feature. Find I like the analog speed feature. We don\'t travel without.
- I hope this will help avoid some RV traveling issues
- Great mapping to keep us on the right roads for easy towing. We have gotten into situations where the ref gps has taken us on back roads , to covered bridges the trailer won’t fix under or obstacles that make it challenging to get around. This takes all of that out of the way and makes it easier to get to our destination
- We are full-time RVers and depend on an RV GPS while on the road. Our 8-year-old RV 760LMT had served us well but was getting wonky (taking a long time to acquire satellites, rebooting arbitrarily while in use, etc.) and needing to be replaced. I like the RV 780 better for several different reasons: 1) it is much lighter, 2) besides having about the same screen size, it is smaller and significantly less bulky due to the thinner body and smaller bezel, and 3) the touch screen is more sensitive and has better brightness and contrast. The routing and functions appear to be similar so far and I use the Sync system in the truck for the phone so I don\'t use those functions in the GPS. Overall, I am very happy with this new GPS.
