QveeQ Garmin Accessories GPS Bracket Cradle Mount Compatible with Garmin Nuvi 54 56 58 42LM 44 52LM 55LMT 2407 2408 2447 2448 2467 2497 2507 2508 2547 2548 2557 2567 2577 Nuvi GPS (2 Pack)
- It works on my Nuvi 65 as it should except I had to trim some of the plastic off the lower tab so it would fit properly into the slot on the back of the GPS. Once I trimed it the fit is nice and secure. In fairness, I don\'t see the Nuvi 65 on the list of compatible GPSs even though it\'s the same design. As others have said, it takes a bit of force to push the ball into the socket but it does fit and it\'s secure. So it wasn\'t perfect but it works as it should which is all I needed.
- While it doesn\'t say it\'s compatible with theDezl OTR500, it does fit. It is a very tight fit though. I had to use some force to snap it in the back of the gps. When attaching it to the swivel suction cup, I also had to use some force and it fits very tightly. It doesn\'t swivel as easily as the original but that\'s fine because it\'s better that it fits tight rather than it falling off all the time. I bought it knowing it might not fit, but it does indeed work.
- The Genuine OEM one fits better; however, after few years under the hot California;ssun, the UV has break the mounting rubber around the circule. I purchased this QveeQ brand and it works but it is not perfect fit but it able to push in with a little force and the GPS did stay very tight. The OEM one is almost $10 and this one is $8 for 2 with Prime 2 days Shipping. You can\'t beat the value. I will update if this last more or less than the OEM one. Thanks.
- This part fits the GPS OK, not perfect and I think the retention to the GPS could have been improved. When pushed onto the ball stem the amount of push force seems excessive, so much so that I thought the GPS was going to be damaged. After assembly the GPS appears to be retained quite securely on the ball.
- For the ball mount I have, it was very hard to attach this cradle bracket. It seemed to expect a smaller ball.
- Having fabricated a dashboard mount for my Garmin GPS navigator, I wanted to be able to (1) use the suction mount that came with the unit in other vehicles, and (2) strap the unit to my wrist, for pedestrian use. So at least one additional mounting fixture would be needed for the wrist-strap, and a second additional fixture would make the suction mount much more convenient to use. These mounting fixtures fit both the unit and the mount-ball almost as perfectly as the OEM version, and are much less expensive.Since these fixtures attach mechanically to both the unit and the mount-ball, neither \"suction power\" nor \"adhesion\" are relevant features.
- I actually lost the back of m GPS and this product fit right in to connect with window unit
- The design of these GPS cradle mounts is sloppy. The dimensions of the ball socket are too tight. The plate that clips into the back of the GPS is too thick. If you have a Dremel tool, some fine sandpaper and some patience, you can achieve a good fit. And with that these mounts work quite well. But right out of the box, in my opinion, these mounts are worthless.I sanded the ball of my cup holder mount with 220 grit paper to reduce the diameter by about 0.2 mm. I then smoothed it with 800 grit paper and polished it with 3000 grit paper. After all of that, it is still difficult to snap these GPS cradle mounts onto the ball, but the force required is no longer excessive and the ball retains enough friction in the socket to hold the GPS in the desired position. The plate that clips to the GPS has a \"tongue\" that slips into a slot in the back of the GPS. This tongue is too wide. I used a Dremel tool with the mini sanding drum installed to trim the width of the tongue. The plate is too thick to allow the plate to clip in with any ease. I used 220 grit paper to thin the entire face of the plate by maybe 10 mils, followed by 800 grit and 3000 grit paper to polish the face, since it is visible when the GPS is not mounted. It is now pretty simple to snap the GPS onto the cradle mount.Altogether, these \"adjustments\" worked well. I leave one of these cradle mounts attached to my cup holder mount and attach/remove the GPS to/from the cradle. It remains too difficult to engage or disengage the ball/socket connection to the cup holder mount. Which is good. If this connection were to be too loose, the GPS would not hold in the desired position. But I would recommend looking for a better product (I have no suggestions). I dislike doing business with companies that employ sloppy engineers.
