- I had a crash and cracked the screen (top right corner) of my Garmin Edge 520. Glass can\'t be replaced but Garmin offered two options. I could send mine in to then and purchase a reconditioned one for $99 or get 20% off a new one. Before I consider those options I\'m trying this case and screen protector (and no more crashes). Had it for not quite a month, but thus far all is good. The case does provide protection from the bumps and I\'m hoping from a drop (not tested nor do I plan to) and although I haven\'t been riding in the rain since I purchased it, it does keep any sweat from getting between the screen protector and the cracked glass.
- Purchased for my new Garmin 520. This was the best deal out there and came with three screen protectors. In my first couple rides using it I haven\'t bumped or dropped the unit yet, but it kept my Garmin clean and functional during a couple very wet races.Pros:-Screen protector installed easily. Like any though, you have to be careful installing it and clean the screen beforehand (with the included cloth). I didn\'t get any bubbles trapped underneath on mine.-Silicone case fits the Garmin quite well, just tight enough to squeeze the head unit inside. The tether loop/charge port can still be accessed with the case on.-The buttons still feel good with the case onCons:-My only complaint so far is that, when using the Garmin out front mount, the silicone case can sometimes get \"caught\" on it while you turn the head unit to lock it. This just causes the case to twist and become crooked but is annoying to have to realign the case with your unit.Overall:Good product and good extra layer of protection for your Garmin.
- I had a problem with the case fitting on my first shipment. I reach out to customer service and Nate went above and beyond to take care of me. They apparently had trouble with some earlier cases fitting. Nate said they were transitioning to a new case and I probably received an old version. He apologized and quickly arranged for a new case. Received it this week & it fits great--like a glove. Protects the entire Garmin & no issue at all. Really like the quick release lanyard & 3 screen protectors. All in all--little trouble with the initial old version case--but, they did it right and took care of things. Always good to work with companies that fix issues quickly and respond with personal attention. The product is 5 stars in my view--bumped it to 4 because of the initial difficulty. If you are looking to protect your Garmin 520 from drops; screen damage & simple connect/disconnect from your bike--this is a good way to go.
- The silicon case works well, but the screen protector has a sticker that doe not peel off no matter how hard you try. That\'s pretty much make it unusable. Very disappointed.Update: After the customer service reached out to me and explaining that the sticker is attached just to a hard plastic that protects the screen protector, I was able to put it the right way. I guess that what was missing was a more clear instruction. For the reason I\'m giving a 4 star now.
- It fits perfectly to my Garmin, just check that it is compatible with yours and it will be a life saver. It feels so much safer to have it like this.
- The case guard and the leash are great, the screen protectors don\'t work well. to many bubbles.
- Just as described, easy to install and works great.
- While the screen covers are good, the case itself (which is why I bought this) fits loosely and makes it difficult to operate while actually riding as the buttons don\'t always respond because I can\'t make the correct contact... But it does take care of the device when I accidentally drop it...
