- Switched after years of Fitbit watches to Garmin. The GPS connects quickly and remains connected which is why I switched from the often unreliable GPS from Fitbit. GARMIN watches are not as streamlined and user friendly as other devices but are definitely function over form. Not a terrible thing but it would be nice if they leaned a little more to the smartwatch side of a UI while also being a bit more aestheticly pleasing. Definitely could use some alternative color options for the watch face
- This is a good watch and I would keep it except the battery drains too quickly. It\'s less than year old, Garmin offers no trade ins, the most I can get for it is $90 minus shipping. Disappointed, won\'t buy Garmin again.
- As expected
- This is my first Garmin smart watch. Love it
- Great watch! Lasts about a week for me with a few workouts. With a full charge, will easier record a 7-8 hour long event. Multi sport function works well. Garmin made this one well. Good step into high end triathlon watches without breaking the bank.
- I am pretty sure there are a lot of reviews out there pertinent the details of this watch so no point in getting into that in detail. It is great for cyclists since it has the ability to connect to a Smart Trainer and thus having the power and distance recorded by the watch. Nice! The watch is mostly sports oriented so if you are looking for a smart watch just look elsewhere. But if you are looking for a training tool, look nowhere else cause this thing got you covered.Only drawback I find is that the only music controls it has are pause and play, but I don\'t mind, the pros the watch has are far better than that minor detail.Battery life is good, between 4 and 5 days of 5 day/week usage and 1 day of GPS usage. Of course the more GPS usage, the less battery life.I don\'t see anyone regretting this unit. For me, a keeper and will surely buy another one if this one gets lost or ruined
- I got this watch for running/triathlon training. I was previously using an Apple Watch. The Garmin is far superior in terms of being a more fitness oriented watch. I chose the 745 over the 945 since my wrist is on the smaller size, and this fits similar to the smaller size Apple Watch.
- Great piece overall, GPS and optical HRM are spot on.Pairs easily with Garmin foot pod and bike speed sensors.Battery life is good, but takes a big hit when using GPS.Main complaint is that my device NEVER paired with my PC via USB connection, not to Garmin Express, never able to get it recognized as a mass storage device to upload music.Tried EVERYTHING that Garmin suggests for troubleshooting. Power cycles, different USB ports, USB driver updates and rollbacks, putting the device in mass storage mode. NOTHING will make my device recognizable via USB on my PC. Standard Lenovo workstation running win 10 and the latest version of Garmin express.Seems pretty damn silly for a 500$ top of the line device.
