- This bell isn\'t particularly loud. I\'ve purchased other bike bells (under $15) that are much louder. Also, the plastic mounting bracket affixed to the bell doesn\'t fit standard handlebars found on most adult bikes. If you plan to use this on a small child\'s bike, it should fit. If not, don\'t buy it because it won\'t mount to your bike.
- smart idea. Airtags aren\'t the best tracking devices but better than nothing and relatively low price. this bell is cool as it serves 2 purposes.
- I\'ve always kept a little bell on each of my family\'s bikes, because I get tired of saying \"On your left!\" a hundred times during a bike ride along railtrails. (And if walkers are anything like me, they probably get tired of hearing that over and over. Or maybe that\'s just me...) Anyway, I prefer to use a bell to gently let folks know I\'m behind them... and please get the heck out of the center of the walkway. Haha.This bell sounds identical to my old ones, and has the added convenience of the hidden AirTag pocket. The top of the main bell screws down (plastic on plastic threads) to the AirTag base, covering it completely. You really can\'t tell there\'s an AirTag at the base of the bell, even when comparing it to a nearly-identical bell on an adjacent bike.Although I\'m far from an Apple fanboi, I will admit that I\'ve become a fan of AirTags, and have a couple dozen of them in use amongst the family backpacks, vehicles, luggage, and now bikes. This bell seems like a great way to make it easy for the bikes.
- This product is so simple, yet effective. The AirTag fits perfectly and doesn\'t wiggle around. The bell works great too. I love that I can track my bike in case it gets stolen. Will order a second one for our other bike.
- This bell that has a hidden area for an Apple AirTag is an ingenious way of being able to track your bike should you ever become, uh, \"separated\" from it. You know - if some jerks steals it.Initially, from the outside, it just looks like any other classic bell you would install on your bars to let others know you\'re coming down the trail or road. Unscrew the top part under the bell, though, and there\'s a hidden compartment that fits an AirTag just perfectly (the AirTag is not included, of course).I installed this bell on my mountain bike and as you can see by the pictures, I had an area in between my grip and shifters that was just the right size. I wasn\'t looking forward to removing the grips from the bars to slide the bell on, though, so I was very pleased to find that the ring was flexible enough to stretch open around the bars, allowing me to slide the ring around the bar and into place without moving the grips. Awesome and a huge time-saver. Because I could just slide it around, it took only 3-4 minutes to install the bell and have it ready for the AirTag.The AirTag fits perfectly into a little recessed area of the base, below the bell. The area is recessed enough that the AirTag doesn\'t slide out, even if the bell is installed at an angle, which also lends itself to trouble-free installation. Once the AirTag is in it\'s place, screw the bell back on the top, tighten the screw below the bars and you\'re ready to ride.I\'ve ridden about 20 miles on trails with the bell installed and it stays very secure. It also has a nice feature where the tab that you flick to ring the bell can be rotated, so you can move it into the position that works best for you to ring the bell while your hands stay in position on the bars. Nice touch.The AirTag signal does not seem affected by the device\'s placement in the bell. I tested it several times and from various distances using the FindMy app on my phone and had no trouble following the signal right to the bike. Ha! Take that, prospective thieves!Overall, it\'s a very good product. I did take one star off the review for two reasons. One, the plastic threads that connect the bell from the base felt very soft and we\'re easy to cross-thread, so be very careful when threading the two sections together. Second, the bell sits a little higher than the bells on my other bikes, making it visibly more noticeable in the bike cockpit. That may not bother you. Other than those two things, it\'s a great little device that works exactly as expected. A solid 4 stars.
- It’s pretty self explanatory to open/unscrew the cap to put in an AirTag. What I couldn’t figure out is how to ring the bell, I gave up after 10 minutes thinking it was broken or a fake bell. My 5 year old figured it out instantly. Unlike all 50+ other bicycle bells I’ve used in my life where you push / pull the tab, or rotate the bell, you have to flick it.Note about AirTags, if you plan on using this to track down a kid who takes your kids bike, the thief gets an alert on their iPhone they are being tracked, and makes it super easy to block you from catching them. The dumbest thing apple ever did.
- Its a good bell, loud and clear, and will save you from yelling at people. It tends to get the attention from people on headphones as well, more so than the yelling.Its a plastic base, so beware of that, not an issue, just something that is not described.Also, the bell can easily be screwed off, when attached, and expose the airtag (if people are aware).Would be nice if that possibility would be locked with the attachment screw or something like that.But for the money, a good bell, and if you want to pop an airtag in there, works as well.
- i got this for the primary purpose of concealing an airtag in it for my ebike. looks and feel like a legit bike ringer with a not too obvious airtag compartment. i like that it protects my airtag from the elements specially when it rains. i don’t usually use the bell often only to let people know i’m behind them which i rarely come across. so to me the bell is juts a plus. this helps me have peace of mind that i can track my ebike, just in case someone gets interested in taking it.for the price, its a good buy for me !
