- Not a suction cup product. Must be attached either by two sided tape or 3 screws. Other than that it is a good product for holding the GPS unit in place.
- Works good after entering the waypoints. This takes a lot of time and could be made much easier. Manuel gives basic information but to get the full benefit you must download the entire manual which is quite long. If you can not figure out a problem call their 800 number. They are really helpful but you get the feeling that you should have figured out what to do.
- Used as a mount for a backup GPS, a handheld unit independent of boat\'s batteries. Easily mounted to my console and very adjustable for unobstructed viewing. Can never have too many GPS units especially when navigating 78 mi of open water in the Florida Keys where aids to navigation are rare! This mount provides better stability than trying to hold a small unit by hand.
- We have not had this installed long enough yet to know how well it will hold up in the hot sun but it works great and fits well so we\'re hopeful.
- Was looking for a mount for the handheld Garmin 78sc that we use for our smaller boat. I would have been happy with any universal fit, even a Velcro setup would do, but when I saw this I jumped on it. It fits the 78sc like a glove ! Has a lock clamp feature for holding and releasing the 78sc and can adjust from the base with a lock screw. Can\'t wait to mount it up and use it this coming season !
- Good mount, easy to install, first use was on my jetski to go on a 60 mile open ocean trip, held up pretty well considering water was rough at times but my garmin came loose a couple of times. Reason I give 3 stars is due to my application, I\'m convinced it will handle great on a boat or a less bouncy vessel.
- Seems sturdy and the Garmin 78sc snaps in and locks nicely. Will mount mine on my console with three screws. Would be nice to have another mounting plate so you can unscrew the base and move to another location.
- Works as advertised. I later returned the garmin gps. The technology of these hand held gps devices are no where near as good as a cell phone.I felt like I was back in the 90\'s.
