- Put this in my 2001 Grand Cherokee WJ, and was mostly plug and play. The lack of a front panel USB port means you have to route the cable down through the center console. Not the end of the world. You also need to do a tiny bit of wiring, the harness isn\'t completely plug and play. The factory harness does not include a ground, so you need to add a spade connector to the pigtail coming off of the radio to connect to the factory ground connector in the dash. Note that the radio will power on and work without this, but the ground is coming from the antenna lead, and will result in some weird behavior.Only 2GB of ram, so response time can be a bit slow, especially when it is first turned on. Tolerable, but annoying that they didn\'t spend the extra $10 to build it with 4GB. Performance is far better when using the Android Auto app.
