    • Great tool for long runs. Let\'s me know how long I\'ve been running and how far, avg. mile, keeps track of my 1 mile splits to keep me on target. Does exactly what I need it to do and is much better than trying to do the same with an app through a phone that is stuck to your arm. I\'ve run 4 hours and 40 mins with this and the battery didn\'t even start to blink that it was getting low. So, the battery life on this is great too...just make sure it\'s fully charged before you leave. I made the mistake of thinking I could just waltz out the door without having it fully charged since my previous run wasn\'t that long, but I didn\'t take into consideration the fact that the battery is still running when it sits on the shelf, just keeping time. So, I had to cut my run short. Otherwise, this thing goes and goes. :)
    • Works fine. Seems accurate about times and distances. Provides flexibility on route which can be nice. No mapping the new route every time you vary a bit. .Some difficulty getting it to work with MapMyRun app but I prefer to enter things by hand so that\'s not a problem for me.As others have noted, it takes a while to locate itself pre-run. Controls aren\'t initially intuitive but I expect they will be with repitition.Thought at first the size would bother me. Much larger than my simple wrist stopwatch but that hasn\'t been a problem.
    • THE GOOD: Does everything you\'d want from a GPS watch. I had an old Garmin that was clunky and odd shaped, but this is more like a real watch (albeit a bit thicker). It\'s easy to use and it\'s easy to upload your data to the Garmin web site to track your activities. You can also download your activity in a GPX or TCX format so you can upload it to other sites like Runkeeper, which I have used for years. The Garmin site is very similar and I may switch to it eventually, but old habits are hard to break (plus I have 6 years of data on Runkeeper).THE BAD: A little slow to acquire GPS...maybe 30 seconds to a minute. Runkeeper on my Android phone acquires them instantly.
    • Works good very nice for the price it costd. This Was a present for a friend and worked out well for him. He is a regular short distance runner. I don\'t recommend this for advance runners, in my case I\'m a 14 miles runners and are other features that I like to have on the screen while running (phase, speed, bpm, lap, etc. Another feature that this gps doesn\'t have is the,\'return to start\' which I really use to find my way back to the start point while running in new cities in mountains.
    • I bought this watch for my husband 1 month ago. He has used it about 15-20 times, and it has done exactly what he wanted it to do. He could not be happier with the purchase. (He is typing this review from my perspective, and no, he does not see anything wrong with that.)I\'ll update this if anything changes.Updating this review to reflect that this purchase is now 3 years old, and my husband still loves it! He loves how basic and bare-bones it is. They don\'t make them like that anymore. We just had to change the battery, which was a cheap and easy DIY.
    • Love this thing. Lately, after getting back to running, I always found it a hindrance to carry my phone when I go on runs. With this watch, I don\'t have to do that. The readings are much more accurate than my phone\'s runkeeper app (or atleast consistent). It does take a couple of minutes for it to latch on to the GPS, which could be annoying. But once it does, it never lets go of the signal. Pretty spot on.Solid 5 stars for the device. -1 for time taken to get a GPS signal. But do understand that, ,at this price, its a solid reliable device. The GarminConnect software though...........
    • I absolutely love this watch for the price! I didn\'t need anything fancy, just a good way to track my pace without carrying my phone around. I love how you can link this to the Garmin connect website and track your overall progress. The only downside to this is that it takes a bit to find your location. At times, it\'s taken the watch about 5-10 minutes to find my location, so that\'s frustrating when you\'ve gained momentum and are trying to start running!
    • I somehow lost my Forerunner 15 and bought a reconditioned 10 as a replacement. The reconditioning seems to make absolutely no difference and saved a bunch of money. The difference in features between the 10 and 15 is immaterial because I only used time and distance.Neither watch was particularly great on battery, but the 10 seems to be just a little less. But for an inexpensive way to chart time and distance, it\'s a great value.
