- My fiance would lose her head if it weren\'t attached to her shoulders. :) She misplaces her phone, keys and wallet daily. Tried Tiles and they worked okay but ran out of juice and she did not replace the batteries. What she really seemed to need was something local to her house and simple to operate. I researched and discovered this product. Sad to say, she uses it on an almost daily basis. She\'s always misplacing her phone or her wallet or her keys. Now she has this remote which she keeps by the couch with all the other remotes and when she misplaces something, she walks around the house pushing the button until she finds it. She is such a scatter brain. This works like a charm.The sound is pretty loud, but the range is pretty much room to room, so she has to walk around the house pushing the button until she hears it. She loves it, and I look like a hero here. So we\'re both happy.I was hoping they would have an extra thin credit card sized tile but they do not. Their tiles are fairly thin, but are thick enough where they don\'t fit nicely in her wallet and sort of make a bulge. But, eh, it works fine, so that\'s all that matters.I have her set up on Find My, but that\'s a hassle and it\'s not always her phone that she has misplaced. The tiles worked for awhile, but they\'re relatively expensive and she wouldn\'t keep up with the batteries. It came to a head recently when she misplaced her phone and her wallet and was doing the frantic search before she went off to work. She did not find either until that evening. Sad, really.With the tiles, I set it up so that one was supposed to always be hanginng from the key holder on the wall. I even got a special little longish chain so it just dangled there. The concept was to go to it and push that button to find her other things. But she lost it.With this solution, the \"base\" remote is the size of a small TV remote and goes in the basket with the others. So far, that has worked for her. I guess it\'s large enough that she remembers to put it back after her searches. So far. One month. We shall see. If she loses the remote, she\'s out of luck :)Overall, an excellent solution for at an inexpensive price.
- Kept losing my car keys. Such a horrible feeling. I needed to find a solution. Looked on Amazon & found this key finder. Talk about peace of mind instantaneously. All of that anxiety went away. So happy with this key finder. It was so easy to set up and it comes with all the batteries you need. I am impressed and less stressed! So worth it to have peace of mind at your fingertips. Thank you!
- I bought these for a parent with dementia and was always misplacing an important item. Unfortunately, when we finally needed it, I found the range limited (less thn 60 feet), had to change the batteries in both the tab and the remote (after 6 months) and even my excellent hearing could barely detect the beep in the various hiding places we found the item over the years (and pretty much needed to be with 20 feet to really hear it.
- The piece that you put on your item is always in the way. It gets bumped a lot and falls off. For example, I put it on the back of my phone and that eliminated me being able to use many kinds of charging pieces as the phone didn\'t lie flat. Wouldn\'t fit into my back pocket anymore. Eventually fell off and I lost it.I wouldn\'t buy this item again for my phone or tv remotes. Seems to be doing ok on my key fob but if the finder piece is in my purse I won\'t find my keys or my purse. Not my best thought out purchase.
- Maybe they shipped this with old or faulty batteries but I was only able to get 2 of the 5 possible locators to work. They work fine so I will keep it
- I purchased this item because I wanted a key finder that is louder than my older one. The caption reads 90+ db, but it is no louder than my old one. I held 2 beepers right next to a decibal meter and it never read more than 80 db. The caption is false advertising.
- MUCH BETTER. I\'d bought the Esky Wireless RF Item Locator set a couple of years ago but it just wasn\'t loud enough to be effective. This one is exponentially louder and easy to hear even if covered. EXCELLENT!!*****Just be sure to install receiver batteries with edge slipped under the small contact that would otherwise prevent the battery from laying flat. Not well explained in instructions.
