- So, I ended up sending my stereo back, but I cannot thank there tech support team for the countless conversations and emails back and forth trying to resolve all the issues with the stereo. In the end though, I just received an item that was not working properly. I ultimately went another direction due to time constraints with my job. Overall, the radio fit perfectly. I did not have issues with my hazard button or temperature control knobs like others. When it was installed, man did it look great. I just could not get my antenna to work properly, even with the links sent to update my radio. They offered me a new unit but like I said I ended up going another direction with my truck due to time. So, they get 4 stars for great technical support. Only wish they had an install video on you tube that could break down some of the things needed to do to troubleshoot when you have issues.
- Started off similar to other folks who left reviews. It went like this..Fast shipping, super easy plug and play install, (Hazard button did fit fine in the bezel) stereo looks a million times better than factory tradesman radio. Then a few issues came up..Radio stations would not work at all… contacted seller for tech support and the helped out right away. Had to jump through some hoops and learning curves to update the android system then radio worked but car play didn’t. Another reach out to tech support and another file update to the stereo and boom. Everything works great. Super happy with the clarity of the reverse camera(purchased separately) can play movies for the kids from a small USB stick in the glove box attached to the 6 pin supplied usb cord. CarPlay feature makes handfree calling and texting possible. Overall very happy
- Update 2: The issue with the cutout was resolved; I was sent a replacement that fit pretty good. At first the hazard button just went in and stayed but I pushed it a few more times and it started moving freely. So the issue with the sizing seems to have been resolved. Concerning the mic, I didn’t realize that there was an additional connection in the rear and I connected my own. I haven’t gotten it to work yet, but maybe it’s just the settings. Customer service has a decent response time and has answered any questions that I’ve asked (like about the reverse camera). Overall, this is a pretty good purchase for the price. Now I just need to see if they have one for my Mercedes.••Update 1 - Once I got everything working, this head unit was good to go. I’m glad that I have a hotspot for remote internet access however the CarPlay feature uses the phones connection via the mirror screen feature. Lastly, The mic isn’t great but I can honestly say that overall it’s 100% better than my factor radio.Previous Comment:So, first off, the hazard light cutout was slightly too small and I needed to shave it out to make it work and fit. The monitor is nice and works pretty good however I couldn’t get the reverse camera to work. The buttons are responsive but don’t light up at night like a normal radios buttons do when you turn your headlights on. Finally, while I was shaving the emergency light cutout, the film or coating started breaking in some places. Considering that the alternatives ranged in the $1000 category, I’m not surprised at the things I had to deal with, however it’s not the worst deal if you don’t mind the tinkering.
- I am giving this product a 3/5 stars. The radio looks and works great. I have an iPhone and had no problems hooking it up. The down side is. If you are using a iPhone you have to use the app in the radio. If you are using a Samsung then it’s okay. The wiring was extremely easy, No cutting wires or anything. Just plug and play. The only complaints I have are that the hazard button cut out is too small. The button did not fit in the cut out. And wish there was more options for customizing with a iPhone. Also does not come with an external mic or new camera. Description lied. Good luck finding any info on it. There is nothing expect a 1 page manual. But other than that it’s a decent radio
