The Fenix 3 is a solid watch, no complains about the product itself, however it arrived without wristband and its condition was worse than I expected for a refurbished product. I reached out for the seller and they were very kind and we came to an agreement involving a partial refund, so I\'m satisfied with the deal.
Big watch lots of features.
My refurbished unit has been totally bullet-proof so far. This is an older but very popular and functional version of the Fenix series, and unless you absolutely have to have the up-to-the-moment innovations (and the four-figure price tag), this refurbished item has all the features you could reasonably ask for, at an insanely low price. Great battery life, compass, rock-solid GPS tracking, heart rate monitoring, many workout/activity profiles to choose (SUP workout!).
I\'ve used several of the Forerunner series GPS/HRM units over the past 12 years for running, cycling, swimming, (and to support course measurement projects on occasion). This watch is probably the best blend of function and looks that I have encountered - set the watch face to analog and it\'s almost impossible to tell the difference between that and a good chronometer. Most of the functionality doesn\'t require add-on sensors, and the add-ons seem to connect quite well. The communication with my smart phone app is very good, and the battery life is (so far) excellent. The only down side is that it is more bulky than the \"typical\" wrist-mounted consumer-grade unit, but that\'s the price of admission. Bottom line: refurbed unit is a good price point.
Certified refurbished? That means they got back a faulty unit and replaced any defective/worn/not functioning components, tested it to confirm it was working properly, then made it available for sale. So to my surprise, only 4 hrs after fully charging the Fenix 3 HR I noticed the screen on the watch was frozen, and the buttons were unresponsive. I pulled up the app and confirmed the step counter was still registering, but nothing on the watch was. The firmware was updated when I setup the watch, so software \"should\" be good. Tried resetting the watch via the light button, worked but the screen froze again after a short while again. Ok? Let\'s reset to factory settings... Worked but still froze up after a short while (all told less than 12 hrs have passed). This is a quality product from Garmin? Did a little more searching and found this is a well known issue that has been going on for years. Not to mention, the new Fenix 5 is doing the same thing? Hard pass on this brand from now on. Hopefully the quality returns and they become worth buying again. Disappointed.
Great watch, very useful, It manual controls are very useful when start training and workout. It material are resistant and luxirious. When using with bluethooth sync obtain a complete results in application and are able to program tasks and obtain statistics.
I love this watch. I was very worried about not having ordered the sapphire version but I am completely satisfied. I have been using the forerunner 15 for a few years and the 305 before that.
