- Easy to install, sturdy, not too sure about value for money but it’s very high quality, maybe even cnc.Pretty much the best version of this mount after trying the others out there.
- You are basically forced to install it on the horizontal part of the rails.In my case I had to move my saddle forward to allow installing this. If you have your sale set to the back position it won\'t work.
- Was looking for an alternate mount for varia, because mine kept falling off while moving from gravel to single track. This thing is perfect. I actually flipped the orientation as seen in the photos to make the lights that even higher and more nestled into the saddle. Perfect solution.
- Works fine. Bummer I have to move the seat pack to the top tube tho.
- I bought this with go pro extenders to mount a varia light behind my sale bag. One 40 mile ride after (going over bumpy and poorly maintained Chicago area streets) the mount is as strong as when I installed. If it loosens I will update the review.Oh, it was a little narrower than the wider portion of my saddle bars, but it is fine.
- This Varia mount attaches to the saddle rails securely. It’s made out of alloy so it won’t break. I just wouldn’t install it on carbon saddle rails, but that’s just me. You can set the angle of the varia mount to match the desired position. Be safe out there!
- I am getting a nice collection of these Varia mounts because swapping the Garmin supplied rubber band mount between bikes is a pain. First I got a pair of cheap no-name mounts direct from China, see comparison between this very nice Cestbon mount and the no name mount. I assumed these look-alike mounts were all the same but NOPE. This Cestbon mount is much nicer than the cheap mounts. The hardware is much nicer, it comes assembled (to put the Varia in a vertical orientation) in a presentable package, the machining of the aluminum parts is far nicer, the plastic quarter turn bit is \'made in Taiwan\', and feels much nicer to click into the Varia than the no name part. This Cestbon part feels as good as the Garmin mount when you click into it. Not the case with the cheap mounts which sorta snap and bend instead. Cestbon mount weights 32grams, 6 grams lighter than the cheap mount. The cheap mount has slots of the saddle rails only on one side of the clamp strap as opposed to the Cestbon which has them on both sides. The Cestbon also has these grooves much closer together; they actually match the standard saddle rail width. The no-name mounts force you to position the mount on the angled/wider portion of the saddle rails.Very simple install with the included allen wrench, I was up and running in a few minutes.
