  • I installed this in my 2007 BMW X5. I used some \"add a circuit\" through the fusebox. Luckily on this car, the fusebox is in the rear of the passenger. The drivers side has the amplifier for the stereo, and the passenger side has the fuse box. Super easy to get to from the trunk. Spent about 20 minutes finding the right spot on the fuse box for a constant power source and a switched power source. For ground, I lossened a nut that was clearly a ground for some other components, and dropped the negative wire there. I had tested all my contact points with a multimeter at each step. Even after completing my connections, I doublechecked with my multimeter on the connector that gets plugged in to the unit. Everything appeared good. I went ahead and connected up the unit, and shoved it in to the open panel. Obviously I want it to be hidden, which was easily done behind the panel covering the fuse box.The instructions say there is an LED on the device to tell if things are working. This mini unit did not have any light. I went ahead and signed up for my account online. It says it takes about an hour for the unit to come online, and that you would get an email. As an hour came and went, I got no email. I checked online, and nothing. I was starting to think that maybe I did a bad cable job. But not too long after I noticed online that my car was showing as being parked in front of my house. All good. I went ahead and did a few errands, and the tracking was online perfectly. The only downside I see is the website seems a bit broken. I cant relabel my unit to something more friendly. Instead its just shown as the serial number of the device. I only have the one, so its not a big deal; but would be nice to swap a more descriptive name. At some point I may get another for a different car, so it would be very helpful.Stats and history and stuff just didnt want to pull up on the website. But did pull up nicely on the iPhone app. It may be that my device needs to be online for 24 hours before that stuff works. I\'ll check tomorrow, and will probably call their tech support to address the website issues. But with all that said, this device works well. And its really well priced. Anyone with car electrical systems knowledge can install it easily.
  • it works perfectly I can know where my car is all the time. the app needs an update, it feels old and isn\'t very intuitive.
  • Service performed consistently.
  • I purchased and installed this device several months ago and it worked so well that I bought another one for another vehicle. The phone app is super easy to use, and the accuracy and dependability is GREAT!!!Installation was very easy.I have tried other trackers... This is the one that I recommend.
  • This device is great. It\'s our third Trackmate tracker and is works as described.Ease of install is a vast improvement over my older units - no knowledge of vehicle electronics required. I think it took me a grand total of 5 min to install it. But, the key is also buy the OBD II adapter so it can run of the vehicle power with no electrical splicing of wires (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08N2HDRBW/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=A1D39O4C9IS788&psc=1).Literally all you do is plug the GPS device into the OBD II adapter, plug the OBD connector into your vehicle\'s OBD II port, hide the wires and device and you\'re done. Then just go to your existing Trackmate account portal and add the device. If you don\'t already have an account, it\'s pretty easy to set one up and the monthly fees are reasonable and dependent upon the level of service you want.Perhaps most important for me though, is they have excellent customer/technical support. They always take your call and spend whatever time is necessary to resolve your problem. I get the sense that they are a small company (like us) and I love that. No foreign help desks or any of that mess.
  • This device works extremely well. I bought this particular device because it is one of the few devices that uses Verizon, which has the best signal strength in my area. When I first connected it, it wasn\'t showing up on the webpage, so I sent an email to support@trackmategps.com and mentioned Verizon being the best carrier. Support (\"Wolf\") figured out that the device was not connected to Verizon, so they got it connected to Verizon, and I was up and running withn 24 hours. It is accurate within less than 50 feet. You could probably find your car in a mall parking lot. The monthly fee for Saver+ (12) is less than all the other ones I looked at. Both the website and the iOS app work well. To hook it up, I bought two fuse piggyback connectors called Add-A-Circuit at Autozone that made it very easy to connect the wires. I\'m not an auto gearhead, so I found a very helpful Youtube video titled \"How to tap into your cars fuse box safely and cleanly\". Just so you know this is a real review, and just to be really picky, the product description says \"Dust & Waterproof (IP65)\". But there is a plastic cover that pops off with a tiny switch inside, so I question whether this is really \"Waterproof\". Being waterproof isn\'t a requirement for my application, but I wanted to mention it.
  • Easy to install and good product
  • Newer device ,worse more complications, Dosent activate, suport is on a 3 and half day weekend nice, i advice u look somewhere else to avoid amateur hour companys like this, and comllications , aggravation, and lack of support, device also randonmly stops tracking, for 6 -12 hours, or a few days depends on its mood in full metro coverage area, baterry time is ridiculous maybe 20 minutes, when now days u could have a baterry that last weeks for 10 bucks, all around amateour hour, not to say other companys dont go full hardcore amateour hour as well, might as well choose these guys
