- It took a little bit to set up, but once it was, it worked good when the keys were lost in the house.It has to be within range, but it works well. We have not lost the keys since using this.
- While this locating device uses it\'s own program, it is easy to find and works well. I set it up and one day I needed my keys and didn\'t remember where I left them. Hmmm, remembered this app and of course it said they were close by me in my house. I told it to beep through the app, although not loud but I was able to walk around until I heard the sound and located my keys.
- This was a waste. I lost my keys in the house and could not hear the sound it makes. Finally, I tore my house apart and found it in between the couch cushions. I tested the sound once I found them, and it was not very loud. The only saving grace was that I was able to confirm they were in my house on the app.
- I have a 17 yo who is constantly misplacing his wallet. When I saw this, I thought it would work well for him.While is does fill the need of a location device, it does also have downsides. To keep last known location of item the device is used for, you have to ensure the device is always connected to your phone. Location services also must be constantly on in order to keep track. This leads to a shortened battery life for a phone, as well as an issue if your phone only allows connectivity to one bluetooth at a time.For what I used it for (son\'s wallet), it\'s fine. His complaint is he had to select his devices and manually connect to his earbuds in order to use them. While it is a limitation of both phone and device, it still doesn\'t merit 5 stars, since locating with certainty requires you be within the range of bluetooth connectivity, and constantly connected.
- So far, this key finder seems like a well made device. A very simple and elegant design. No buttons or switches, just the keychain link and a piece of plastic that needs to be pulled out before you can use it. The pairing was easy. I just downloaded the app (Findthing) and followed the instructions. Once it is paired, you are able to see the unit on the app and if you press a button in the App, the key finder will play a sound (in my opinion: not very loud). Another thing that I found a bit vague was the way it shows how far the keys are. It only gives a range (ex: <1-3 m, >3 m, etc.), and also it doesn\'t show in which direction. The range just gets closer or further from the device.
- This is a very useful device that i use to help my find my keys. I consistently lose them so had to get something to help. I also tried to see how well it does in a wallet but i feel the sound is too muffled. Easy to connect to phone but need to download app from QR.
- I would say your money and time is better spent on an Air Tag or Tile.
